The Big Promo Gift Show – An Update

So it’s only 20 days to go until The Big Promo Gift Show at The Royal Armouries in Leeds. We’re looking forward to it here at LSi – it’s our big day where we can see all of you and show you some of the exciting new promotional products that are on the market.

We’ve had a great response with more registered attendees at this stage than for any of our previous shows. The seminars are being booked out fast and with only 66 places for each one you’ll need to register and put your name down soon if you want to be guaranteed a seat. Just to let you know, here’s how many seats are remaining at each one:

  • The Power Of The Medium – Looking Beyond The Product – 33
  • Driving Measurement With Every Marketing Pound – 9
  • Case Histories That Have Generated Huge Returns – 6
  • Maximizing Your Relationship with Your Account Executive – 50
  • The Power Of The Medium – Looking Beyond The Product (2) – 57

We’ve also got 59 penalty takers signed up for the Peter Shilton penalty competition. It’s likely that I’ll be running that on the day so if you’ve signed up or are going to, it will be lovely to meet you (my tip: put the ball hard and low into the left hand side netting with your instep – you can’t lose!).

After the penalty competition we’ve got a Guinness World Record attempt from the world champion freestyle footballer, John Farnworth. You can find out more about him and get a sneaky peek at his skills on our special guests page.

We’ll continue keeping you up to date on our twitter page and The Big Promo Gift Show website.

See you at the show!

Big Promo Gift Show

Amazing – that’s the only word I can describe the initial response from our customers, or more the ones that have signed up for the forthcoming show (May 26th), we only launched the main website (www.promogiftshow.com) on 9th April and already we are 50% on registrations compared to the same period last year.

The main attraction seems to be the free seminars hosted by our American colleague and respected gift industry speaker Cliff Quicksell, with 2 of his 5 Seminars nearly booked up.

Also the opportunity to face England legend Peter Shilton has also proved popular with both men and women stepping up to the penalty spot. If you wish to take part in either of the afore mentioned, please hurry to register as we will be closing the penalty shoot out soon and seminar places are strictly limited to 66 per session.

So with our quarterly newsletter just about to land through the post, banner ads on one of the most popular business information websites in Yorkshire, we are extremely confident in reaching our visitor target in the next couple of weeks.

If you havent already registered , please take the time to visit our website www.promogiftshow.com and book your place at the largest Promotional Merchandise show in the UK.

To keep up with all the latest info, subscribe to our blog and you can also follow developments on twitter. If you currently purchase any Promotional Merchandise you really should attend the show!

A Little Update From The Web Designer

I’ve had an especially busy time of late, designing a couple of websites for a customer and a potential customer, designing the new site for The Big Promo Gift Show (out very soon) and already working on the LSi site for next year (even though the current site’s only been there a month or two… I never stand still!).

Generally speaking, whenever I create a new website I try to do something I’ve never done before. It may not be obvious to the user but it helps me develop. From the four sites mentioned above I’ve created a new layout style, created a new way of filtering products, found a new way of manipulating CSS to make it specific web browsers do what I want and am heavily playing with mySQL and PHP. If you don’t learn you’ll never get better. I don’t get as much time as I used to for pure learning and development work as I used to so I’m applying things on the job a lot more and testing them rigorously before deployment.

Apparently, the site I’ve done for our new potential customer was better than one that another promotional merchandise distributor did, which is nice, and is helping bring in the deal. The one for the current customer could well lead onto another 3 or 4 as they want one per range rather than a single one for everything they do. It’s be far the most advanced ordering site I’ve created so far using the system we use. Hard work but it’s more to show potential clients when we go to show them what we can do, isn’t it?!

A bit of LSi site news for you: I’ve updated the Who Are We? page on the LSi site to show a few old photos – if you want to see how Lloyd looked in 1995, that’s the place to go! New content for Our Aims and some new products will be coming soon.

Don’t forget that you can follow me on twitter @scottthewebdes.

Ta for reading!

Big Promo Gift Show

Fantastic News – The Big Promo Gift Show has just sold out – 66 suppliers will be in attendance, and a further 6 are now on the reserve list – the take up for stands has been overwhelming and now allows us to concentrate on delivering a bigger and better show than last year.

We will have a World Cup theme this year for the show – with a couple of England Legends in attendance, however the main purpose of the show will not be forgotten and revolves around Promotional Merchandise and the better use of it to gain valuable business. We are also please to announce that a major marketing seminar speaker from the States will be joining us and delivering 4 or 5 seminars throughout the day – content and subjects to be confirmed later. Fantastic prize draws, free lunch and free parking, aswell as a penalty shoot out game for all – the event promises to be one not to be missed.

The event is on 26th May and will be held at The Royal Armouries.
